Exploring Emotional Intelligence and Stress: A Comparative Analysis of Raja Yoga Meditation Practitioners and Non-Practitioners
The emotional intelligence (EI) and stress levels of Raja Yoga meditation practitioners and non-practitioners are investigated in this qualitative study. The study examines disparities in emotional awareness, regulation, and resilience through theme analysis of semi-structured interviews conducted with NVivo. Results show that while non-practitioners frequently report difficulties with emotional regulation and greater stress levels, practitioners show improved emotional intelligence and decreased stress, which are ascribed to the meditation practice. The potential of Raja Yoga to promote stress management and emotional resilience is highlighted by this study.
