THE IMPORTANCE OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORT SYSTEMS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT TASKS

The article is devoted to the problem of determining the role of local gov-ernments in the context of the development of transport systems in St. Petersburg. It is shown that despite the fact that the powers of local governments in the field of traffic management are exercised by the state authorities of the subject, local governments can significantly influ-ence the development of the transport network by actively participating in the planning and implementation of local transport projects.
