Analysis of the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease
The health of the elderly has become a social concern as human life expectancy increases and the global trend of population aging intensifies. The most common dementia is Alzheimer's disease (AD), the pathogenesis of which has attracted widespread attention. This review combed the mainstream hypotheses and recent research on the AD pathogenesis in PubMed over the past two decades. The research focuses on several core areas: the mechanism of abnormal deposition of -amyloid (A) in the brain; how the abnormal phosphorylation of Tau protein leads to the formation of neuronal fibril tangles; and the role of neuroinflammation in AD pathogenesis. At present, it is believed that no single theory can thoroughly demonstrate the AD pathology. The purpose of this literature review is comprehensively examine the perspective of the pathogenesis of AD at the molecular level and lay the groundwork for the development of potential future therapeutic options in the future.
