Managing film crystallization <i>via</i> low-toxic antisolvents: stabilizing Ag3BiI6 perovskite-like solar cells under ambient conditions

Xylene and xylene mixed petroleum ether have been identified as a promising antisolvent for achieving controlled nucleation and growth. Their application promotes the suppression of AgI secondary phase formation of pinhole-free and optimally loaded Ag 3 BiI 6 absorbers, contributing higher efficiency, lead-free perovskite solar cells.

Abstract

Xylene and xylene mixed petroleum ether have been identified as a promising antisolvent for achieving controlled nucleation and growth. Their application promotes the suppression of AgI secondary phase formation of pinhole-free and optimally loaded Ag 3 BiI 6 absorbers, contributing higher efficiency, lead-free perovskite solar cells.
