APPROACHES TO SMART CITIES DEVELOPMENT

The development of smart cities in regional development is increasingly becoming one of the most important strategies to mitigate the problems arising from rapid urbanization and economic development in certain industries. The main goals and objectives of the study were identified based on the analysis of programs for the formation of smart cities around the world. During the analysis of the experience of the development of smart cities, general provisions were identified in the tran-sition to the concept of a smart city, outlined in the goals and objectives of the development of urban agglomerations. A description of the directions and approaches for the study of a smart city and the practical consequences of the successful development of smart cities for all interested actors: gov-ernment officials, enterprises, businesses and the public regarding the consequences of the develop-ment of this concept is proposed.
