PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF CREATION OF THE KEMSKO-BELOMORSKAYA AGGLOMERATION

The article presents preliminary results of a study aimed at identifying the problems and pro-spects of creating the Kema-Belomorsk agglomeration and its zone of influence, which are located in the Arctic zone of Russian Federation. The agglomeration will be created on the basis of the devel-opment of two towns — Kem and Belomorsk. It is planned to build a seaport, a mining and processing enterprise, an airport, and create tourist facilities on the territory of the future agglomeration. It is necessary to improve the demographic situation. The goal of creating the Kema-Belomorsk agglom-eration and its zone of influence is achievable.
