Unified equation of state for neutron stars using the lowest-order-constrained variational approach

In this work, we construct a unified equation of state (EOS) for neutron stars with a microscopic approach to describe both the core and the crust of these compact objects. For this aim, we calculate the composition and EOS of crust using compressible liquid drop approximation and the metamodeling of asymmetric nuclear matter approach. Such approach is calculated by applying the lowest-order constrained variational method using ${\mathrm{AV}}_{18}$ potential plus different sets of three-nucleon interactions. Furthermore, we determine the structural properties of neutron star and its crust like mass, radius, and moment of inertia for the selected EOSs. We also compare our results with various astrophysical constraints including the mass measurements of binary pulsars, measurements of radius of pulsars by NICER, and tidal deformability relevant to gravitational wave detection GW170817.
