Near-bandgap emission in [HOC 2 H 4 NH 3 ] 2 PbI 4 perovskite under hydrostatic pressure: emission of a free exciton and a polaronic exciton

As hydrostatic pressure increases, the polaron formation energy in EA 2 PbI 4 increases and therefore the emission of free exciton (FE) containing a large polaron (FEP) is enhanced and redshifts by a factor of 1.5 relative to the FE emission.

Abstract

As hydrostatic pressure increases, the polaron formation energy in EA 2 PbI 4 increases and therefore the emission of free exciton (FE) containing a large polaron (FEP) is enhanced and redshifts by a factor of 1.5 relative to the FE emission.
