Multiaxial-based Mode Analysis of Laminates Damage via Three-dimensional Hashin Failure Criterion
As an anisotropic material, carbon fiber composites have various forms of damage. Accurate determination of damage accumulation and failure mode is of great significance for predicting the life of components. In this paper, the damage criterion is optimized based on the two-dimensional Hashin failure criterion. Sure, here’s a way to express it in two sentences: The angle difference between the stress direction and the damage direction is considered. Additionally, the fiber-matrix shear damage is added in the corresponding Vumat subroutine. Through finite element analysis and perimental data comparison, the accuracy of the modified damage criterion is proved.
