Study of On-Board Charger for Electric Board Using a Hybrid-Phase-Shift Control Strategy
For the dual-active bridge (DAB) converter with single-phase-shift (SPS) control, a new control method is proposed to solve the issue of light-load efficiency in SPS control. The goal is to achieve a high-efficiency converter. The study focuses on optimizing the single-phase shift dual-active bridge (DAB) converter using dual-phase shift control and simulates the circuit in PSIM. By employing phase modulation and duty cycle modulation techniques, the power switches on first stage and secondary stage can achieve phase and duty cycle modulation, realizing hybrid control and bidirectional power transfer. This approach addresses and improves the light-load efficiency issue of the theoretical single-phase shift DAB converter. The research designs a 1 kW bidirectional power conversion between 400 V and 50 V for the dual-phase shift bridge converter.
