La resolución de la controversia entre la propiedad registral y la propiedad ancestral en el sistema jurídico colombiano

This article analyzes registered property as enshrined in Colombian Civil Code and its complementary regulations, in the face of a new kind of ownership jurisprudentially acknowledged by Colombian Constitutional Court, called Ancestral Property. We establish its characteristics, requirements to be acknowledged, scope of application, so as to conclude that ancestral property has priority and a reinforced protection over registered property in Colombian legal system.
