Cover Feature: In‐Situ Electrolyte for Electrosynthesis: Scalable Anodically‐Enabled One‐Pot Sequence from Aldehyde to Isoxazol(in)es (Chem. Eur. J. 68/2024)
A straightforward transition-metal-free, one-pot electrochemical synthetic strategy toward high-value functionalized isoxazol(in)es is presented. The waste-reducing and cost-effective cascade transformation, involving “in-situ electrolyte” generation, comprises the condensation of aldehyde and NH2OH⋅HCl to an aldoxime followed by its anodic oxidation and subsequent [3+2] cycloadditions with a dipolarophile.
