Exploring Oxygen Vacancy Effect in 1D Structural SnIP for CO 2 Electro‐Reduction to Formate (Small 49/2024)
CO2 Reduction In article number 2404343, Woong Hee Lee, Jae-Young Choi, Hyung-Suk Oh, and co-workers demonstrate the electrochemical reduction of CO2 to formate using SnIP, a 1D van der Waals material. Electrochemical treatment transforms SnIP into a web-like structure with increased oxygen vacancies, enhancing surface area and performance. The catalyst achieves over 92% formate faradaic efficiency at 300 mA cm−2 and excellent stability, highlighting the potential of surface engineering in low-dimensional materials.
