Unveiling the Digital Facets: An Insight into Indian Institute of Management Libraries’ Web Performance

In today’s fast-paced world, organizations are creating websites to connect with the public efficiently. Institutional websites are being used to provide services and communicate with the public as part of the institutions’ operations. For a website to be engaging and effective, it must be user-friendly and easy to use. The user experience and business success in the digital age depend largely on website speed and performance. With the aid of automated tools, anyone can examine a website in different ways to determine why it is taking so long to load. Some well-known tools for this purpose include Google PageSpeed Insights, Pingdom, GTmetrix, WebPageTest, and Website Speed Test. These tools rely on complex algorithms that evaluate such issues as server response time or optimizing web resources and so on. They can identify potential slowness issues and provide the necessary advice on how to optimize websites for faster loading. This study utilized Google’s PageSpeed Insights performance testing tool to assess the performance of the IIM libraries’ websites. Google PageSpeed Insights provides websites with a score in the categories of performance, accessibility, best practices, and search engine optimization.
