The particulars of manifesting anxiety in children

The results of contemporary research indicate an increase in the number of anxious children, characterized by increased restlessness, lack of confidence in their own abilities, and emotional instability. This work is dedicated to studying the particularities of anxiety manifestation. The basic ideas are described in the following sections: The nature and genesis of anxiety in children, the specifics of anxiety manifestation in first-grade students, and the impact of anxiety on the child's activity and personality. There are numerous factors that cause anxiety, including genetic, environmental, developmental, personality, cognitive, social, technology and media, school-related stressors, and health factors. Regarding the impact of parent-child relationships on the development of anxiety in children, it is evident that anything disturbing the child's sense of protection within the family contributes to the appearance and fixation of anxiety, limiting the child's social experience and forcing them to focus solely on the family. In educational institutions, anxiety can be caused by the nature of pedagogue-child interactions, particularly when an authoritarian communication style prevails and there is inconsistency in setting requirements and assessments. Unfavorable relationships, conflicts, and brutality from educators can exacerbate anxiety. Lack of tact from educators deeply affects children, making them feel helpless and unable to defend themselves, resulting in low effectiveness. Re-actualization of psychological traumas, feelings of incompetence, helplessness, and low self-esteem stimulate increased anxiety levels and avoidance behavior, hindering their success. It is important to note that each child is unique, and the manifestation of anxiety can vary. Early detection and intervention are crucial. If you suspect a child is experiencing anxiety, it is recommended to consult a mental health professional for a comprehensive evaluation and appropriate support.
