Thermal analysis of mine remediation soil
Abstract In recent years, one of the main goals of sustainable development has been the preservation of soils, their restoration, and the return to use of unusable lands. Reclamation is a method of restoring disturbed lands by improving their characteristics and the surrounding environment. Reclamation processes aim to restore the functions of disturbed and polluted soils to agricultural and forest funds, prevent landslides and erosion, and create balanced ecological systems that represent socio-economic and aesthetic values for humanity. The current study examines a recultivated terrain resulting from mining activities, scrutinizing the primary functional groups and the soil’s thermal stability. Based on these findings, we can implement additional measures to enhance the soil’s humus layer and the region’s overall health. The results show successful reclamation with a low organic component capacity.
