Optimal Scheduling Considering the Safety of Energy Storage Power Stations

In this paper, we propose a battery energy storage operation model that comprehensively considers temperature, and safety of state (SOS). Additionally, we present an optimal scheduling method that takes into account the safety of energy storage stations, aiming to address the issues of rapid life decay and poor safety of battery energy storage in wind-photovoltaic-storage system at high temperatures. Through the electrothermal coupling model, an analytical battery electrothermal coupling model suitable for day-ahead scheduling is proposed, and an operation model of the energy storage plant with temperature-power characteristics, considering SOC and SOS, is constructed. Additionally, with the goal of maximizing the total revenue of wind and solar energy storage, while considering temperature and safety limitations of energy storage, the day-ahead optimization scheduling model is linearized, and scheduling strategies that consider the safety of energy storage power stations are developed. Finally, a simulation model was constructed to compare different scheduling schemes. The results showed that the scheduling strategy proposed in this paper, which considers the safety of energy storage stations, can effectively improve the service life, safety, and utilization of battery energy storage operation.
