Pengaruh Shift Kerja terhadap Kualitas Tidur Perawat
Introduction: Shift work has the potential to have long-term effects on the health and well-being of nurses due to the physical and psychological impacts that occur along with working hours. Quality sleep is needed to restore and repair nurses' body systems in order to achieve optimal productivity and work quality. Objective: To determine the effect of work shifts on the nurses’ sleep quality. Method: Study with a cross sectional design of 64 nurses who work shifts in hospitals selected by purposive sampling. Data collection using Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) with data analysis used is one way anova test. Results: There is no significant effect of shift work on sleep quality with a p-value of 0.224. Conclusion: Nurses' sleep quality is not associated with the impact of shift work. Hospitals need to develop efforts to ensure that nurses do not experience sleep problems in both shift and non-shift working nurses. The impact of shift work on other personal aspects of nurses needs to be a priority for hospital management.
