A Discussion of the Demand Technology Through Last-Mile Business Data Analysis : ESG, Domestics Courier Value Chain Aspects

In the Road-map, which made ESG information disclosure mandatory announced by the Korean government in January 2021, environmental and social information will be applied to KOSPI-listed companies with assets of 2 trillion won or more from 2026 and expanded to all KOSPI-listed companies by 2030. This paper analyzed the courier industry, which is a representative industry in the Last-mile service market that constitutes the closest relationship with ESG, by PESTLE methodology. As a result of the analysis, in terms of P/L, four technologies were derived: the development of the daily logistics service industry, the increase in the number of delivery vehicles, how to permit the freight transport business for delivery, and the day on which delivery is off. In terms of E/S, the ratio of single-person households, the number of single-person households, and dual-income couples. In terms of domestic technology of T, the smart logistics center certification system, the delivery HUB terminal-centered AMR, and AGV technology. In terms of global technology, four technologies, including Algoriths and analytics, Delivery drone, Delivery robot, Driverless/Autonomous cars, and O2O sharing economy business model, a special law on the improvement of the air environment in the air management area, and a half-price delivery of convenience stores were derived from the E side. The derived issues and required technology were divided into the hardware part, the parcel supply chain, and the software part, the ESG part, and the implications for ESG’s EㆍSㆍG were presented together with the picture.
