Development and Performance Optimization of a Laboratory Hazardous Chemicals Management System Based on B/S Architecture

This paper addresses the issues in laboratory hazardous chemicals management, such as low approval efficiency, incomplete data statistics, and particularly the inability to trace the flow of hazardous substances. A hazardous chemicals management system based on the B/S architecture is designed and implemented. The system is developed using the .NET platform, combined with SQL Server database technology, and achieves full-process management of hazardous chemicals, including declaration, approval, warehousing, usage, and disposal, through modular design. The system architecture is based on a browser/server model, providing high scalability and ease of deployment. To enhance the system's practical application, multiple rounds of performance optimization were conducted, focusing on improving concurrent processing capabilities and resource utilization. Load testing and performance evaluation demonstrated that the system exhibits high stability with 109 concurrent users, but there is a bottleneck in CPU utilization that requires further optimization. Experimental validation results show that the system can significantly improve the efficiency of laboratory hazardous chemicals management, confirming its feasibility in practical applications and providing a technical reference for further performance optimization and functional expansion in the future.
