Design of an STM32-Based Intelligent Water and Electricity Management System for Elderly Living Alone

This study aims to address the challenges of water and electricity monitoring and safety in the daily lives of the elderly living alone amidst an aging society, through the design of an STM32-based smart water and electricity management system. Integrating sensor technologies, efficient data communication protocols, and artificial intelligence (AI), the research develops a comprehensive system encompassing real-time monitoring, precise recording, threshold alarms, remote management, and AI-powered voice reminders. By merging water and electricity meter functionalities, the system enables intelligent management of water and power consumption for the elderly living independently, assuring accurate data documentation and provision of tailored lifestyle recommendations. Following rigorous testing, the system exhibits stable and reliable performance, significantly enhancing the safety and quality of life for solitary seniors, thereby validating its efficacy in practical applications. Consequently, this research contributes innovative and practical technological support to safeguard the well-being of the elderly living alone, holding substantial societal value and broad prospects for implementation.
