Research on Intelligent Traffic Police System Based on Internet of Things

At present, in some remote areas and areas with insufficient police force, the hidden problems caused by drink driving have been slow to be solved. Therefore, to address this problem, this paper investigates an intelligent traffic police system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to meet the needs of these areas. The system is based on Raspberry Pi 4B as a platform, the servo, GPS locator, MQ-3 alcohol sensor, v2 camera and and speakers are combined and mounted behind the Raspberry Pi, and the whole system is powered by Lonqiu LM2596 multi-power board. The camera mounted on the Raspberry Pi will start real-time shooting, the system automatically intercepts passing vehicles and conducts a DUI test, and finally sends the results to the IoT back office, where the staff can keep abreast of whether the driver is DUI or not, thus completing the unmanned traffic management in the absence of traffic police.
