Multiple Pathways to Decarbonize India PV Sector
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">The cumulative accumulation of greenhouse gases (GHGs) historically has resulted in the current problem of global warming. This is further compounded by developed nations, therefore, to fill this gap enhanced global actions are decided. Considering Country’s development need, available resources, government boost for agriculture, A holistic approach for 4W PVs is taken considering well to wheel emissions, as there are other ways to reduce tank to wheel emissions but may not be very effective for overall country’s GHG reduction. Major emissions in vehicle use are calculated based on Carbon intensity of various fuels &amp; optimum pathway for Indian scenario is prepared &amp; discussed in the paper considering all aspects CO2 reduction, development &amp; motorization need. This paper explains multiple pathways for Passenger Vehicle (PV) Sector to be considered to meet country’s GHG needs.</div></div>
