DLCSS: A Data Life Cycle Security System for Industry Data Warehouse Platforms

The digital economy, fueled by the exponential growing digital information and knowledge, relies heavily on the secure handling of data. This paper presents a Data Life Cycle Security System (DLCSS)for industry data warehouse platforms. The paper proposes a comprehensive data security protection scheme based on cryptographic technology which covers both the data layer and the application layer, and effectively safeguarding data security without compromising data processing functions. On one hand, the paper presents a Full-Process Encryption Mechanism which innovatively enables ciphertext storage, ciphertext queries, and ciphertext exchange in data warehouse scenarios and effectively mitigating the risk of data leakage. On the other hand, the paper presents an Application Security Hardening Mechanism which utilizes dynamic protection techniques and program verification techniques to significantly enhance the security of data processing programs. Our evaluation in the practical system demonstrates that the proposed security mechanisms can significantly improve security, with the affordable additional performance overhead.
