National dance culture as the basis for formation of Russian identity

In modern culture, with its overload with the achievements of scientifi c and technological progress, hyper-dynamic life and its complexity, one of the most pressing issues remains the formation of a system of national values and their strengthening among citizens of the Russian Federation. The article shows how talented choreographers and artistic directors of leading dance ensembles participate in the formation of a common national culture through dance. Through the language of dance, master choreographers, preserving and protecting tradition, form the culture of the dance itself, instill taste, and generate respect for the heritage of our people. How beautiful this practice becomes, demonstrating all the best and majestic that our country is rich in, can be seen on stages around the world. The study of Russian folk dance is one of the effective methods of awareness-raising work in educational organizations.
