The paradox of decreasing value of knowledge with expanded educational opportunities in the era of digitalization

The object of the study is the transformation of the process of knowledge acquisition by mature people in the era of digitalization. A paradoxical pattern has been revealed: on the one hand, information technologies allow every Internet user to gain access to knowledge anywhere on the planet, while, on the other hand, there is a decrease in interest in knowledge acquisition due to its widespread availability.
