Application of recycled carbon fibre to develop new products
Abstract. This work deals with the pyrolysis recycling process used to produce the recycled carbon fibres and their application in several areas: sustainable energy, aeronautical prototypes and even consumer goods developed by the DAMA Laboratory (Development and Advanced Materials Application Laboratory) at FATEC-SJC in Brazil. Composite materials made from recycled carbon fibre were produced using conventional manufacturing processes such as manual impregnation and vacuum bagging combined with oven heating. As the result shows, the recycled carbon fibre use is feasible, but the product's final validation requires testing to prove the performance of the recycled fibre.
