Numerical simulation of thermal characteristics of vehicle in complex environment
Thermal simulation of vehicle body surface and tail in complex environment has important potential value for infrared target recognition. Based on the open source library, this paper establishes a radRecRhoSimpleFoam solver that couples the target vehicle with the environment. The solver is a compressible flow solving algorithm, which can calculate the thermal characteristics of vehicle surface and the distribution of exhaust plume components under different environmental conditions, such as latitude and longitude, time zone, wind speed and direction, solar radiation and so on. This study uses the k-ω SST turbulence model for the calculations. The results show that solar radiation can affect the surface temperature of the vehicle, the surface temperature of the vehicle will increase with the increase of ambient temperature and solar radiation intensity, and the speed and direction of the wind can change the distribution of solar radiation on the surface temperature of the vehicle, ultimately affecting the radiation brightness of the vehicle.
