Analysis of cross-eye jamming effect on antenna structure influence
By simultaneously transmitting two interference signals, cross-eye jamming can generate a deception angle far away from the protected target in radar systems that utilize monopulse angle measurement. To achieve this jamming effect, the cross-eye jammer must ensure equal amplitude and a phase difference of 180° between the two interference signals received by the targeted radar. The requirement for signal amplitude is primarily achieved through gain control of the jammer, while the requirement for signal phase is mainly influenced by the propagation path of the two interference signals. Therefore, different antenna structures will impact the effectiveness of cross-eye jamming. This analysis compares non-reverse and reverse antenna structures for cross-eye jamming and concludes that a reverse structure is more conducive to implementing effective cross-eye jamming.
