Discussion on the relationship between satellite coverage and on-board antenna in mobile phone direct connection mode
With the development of space-ground integration network, mobile phone direct satellite scene application has become an important research direction. Combined with the link situation, this paper analyzes the relationship between satellite coverage and spaceborne antenna in the satellite mode of direct mobile phone connection. The requirements of spaceborne antenna in the high and low orbit satellites are compared and analyzed, and the influence relationship of spaceborne antenna on satellite capacity, link capacity and orbit height is obtained. For low earth orbit (Leo) satellites, the large size antenna of 5-15 meters can not only achieve a good link quality of 20dB carrier to noise ratio (CNR), but also ensure a high frequency reuse efficiency. For medium and high earth orbit satellites, to achieve basic voice communication capabilities, the size of the antenna is more stringent.
