Initiatives from the Biden-Harris Administration to Address the Maternal Health Crisis and Promote Better Maternity Outcomes for Mothers and Babies in the United States

In Brief Over the last two years, the Biden-Harris administration has initiated and funded a number of programs to support better maternity care outcomes for mothers and babies in the United States. In the past, maternal and infant health has not been given the attention it deserves as evidenced by our poor outcomes compared to peer countries. The current administration should continue these initiatives and add more to promote maternal and infant health. How well women and children are treated reflects the mission and will of the leaders of the country.
