Study of the Possibility of Feed Grain Treatment with Microwave Radiation Through Rectangular Waveguides with an Open End

The article deals with the results of the study of the efficiency of feed grain treatment with microwaves (MW) using a rectangular waveguide. Computer modeling and experimental tests showed that this method of field supply is ineffective: the distribution of heating in the grain layer is uneven; the power of one magnetron is insufficient to achieve uniform heating of the grain up to 250 °C.

Abstract

The article deals with the results of the study of the efficiency of feed grain treatment with microwaves (MW) using a rectangular waveguide. Computer modeling and experimental tests showed that this method of field supply is ineffective: the distribution of heating in the grain layer is uneven; the power of one magnetron is insufficient to achieve uniform heating of the grain up to 250 °C.
