Dynamic modelling of CNTs under multiple moving nanoparticles based on non-local strain gradient theory

This paper presents an investigation on the dynamic behaviour of single-walled carbon nano-tubes (SWCNT) crossed by multiple moving nano-particles modelled as mobile loads based on Timoshenko's non-local beam theory, including rotational inertia. The governing equations are derived using Hamilton's principle combined with Galerkin's method. The eigen-frequencies are determined by solving analytically the system of equations which govern the problem of the eigenvalues.Temporal integration of the Newmark's method is adopted to find the dynamic response of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT).The obtained eigen-frequencies are validated by the results of previous published studies.A detailed parametric study is carried out to analyse the effects of non-local parameters, the slenderness ratio, the displacement speed and the number of moving loads on the vibration characteristics of the model.Type or paste your abstract here as prescribed by the journal's instructions for authors. The obtained results show that above mentioned effects play an important role and have a significant effect on the transitional dynamic behaviour of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT).
