Hybrid Strategy for In Situ Shaping of Zeolite‐Imidazolate‐Frameworks into Polymeric Macrocapsule: Toward Practical Applications of Rare Earth Element Recovery (Adv. Funct. Mater. 49/2024)
Macroscale Carrier Platforms In article number 2407018, Changha Lee, Kyung-Won Jung, and co-workers report a hybrid strategy based on counter-diffusion and phase transformation for the in situ shaping of zeolite-imidazolate-freamework-8 into a polymeric macrocapsule (ZIF-8@PMC). The ZIF-8@PMC exhibits unprecedented rare earth element recovery capability from spent NdFeB permanent magnets and holds promising applications in various fields, including electronics, catalysis, and environmental processing.
