Competências necessárias ao Oficial de Guerra Eletrônica:
The Armed Forces are increasingly dependent on the electromagnetic spectrum, which makes Electronic Warfare a lethal instrument in any operational setting. In this context, the military should be competent to respond to the Organization’s wishes to which they are subordinate. Thus, this research intends to verify to what extent the curriculum of the Specialization Course in Electromagnetic Environment Analysis (CEAAE), in 2016, developed the necessary skills for the aviator to exercise the position of Electronic Warfare Officer (OGE) of an Aerial Unit. For this purpose, experts were consulted using the Delphi Method, which allowed to identify knowledge, skills and attitudes that pointed out the essential competences inherent to the Electronic Warfare Officers. Then, publications related to the CEAAE curriculum have been examined to identify the skills that can be developed during the course. In possession of all the data, the competences indicated through the questionnaires have been compared with those found in the curricular documents. With the analysis of the data, correspondence for the levels of knowledge, ability and attitude were equal to 53.85%, 38.46% and 50.00%, respectively. This evidences that the CEAAE developed only 47.73% of the necessary competences so that the aviator can perform their duties like OGE of an Air Unit. It can be concluded that the research exposes the need to update the CEAAE curriculum so that a more adequate training is provided to the enrolled military in order to match the needs of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).
