Relação entre atividade aérea não pressurizada e alterações no eritrograma em aeronavegantes
The hypoxia that occurs during the flight of the depressurized Embraer P-95 Bandeirulha may endanger the safety and welfare of all crew members and, consequently, of the passengers. The Brazilian Air Force has four squads which implement the Maritime Patrol, all of them equipped with the P-95. This study aimed to verify the influence of non pressurized air activity over the changes in the aircrew erythrogram. To do so, a comparison between the 4°/7° Aviation Group (4°/7° GAV) percentual erythrogram and a control group composed of non aircrew military. To conduct this work, bibliographic and documentary researches were done with the medical records. Through a comparative analysis of the erythrogram reference values and the control group, an increase in the number of erythrocyte and a decrease in the erythrocytic index values in 4°/7° GAV aircrew were detected. These results indicate that hypoxia prevention measures in unpressurized flights may be better implemented and monitored.
