Evaluation of Electromagnetic Wave Propagation Characteristics in Wireless Communication Systems

Wireless networks are used indoors by a variety of organizations. During their design, it is necessary to ensure stable communication. The propagation of electromagnetic waves can be affected by various obstacles inside the premises. In addition, interference from other electronic devices may be in the way of propagating signals. It is important to determine if there are dead zones where the signal is not propagating. On the basis of geometric constructions, the possibility of determining dead zones is shown, and their area is estimated. To assess the characteristics of reflection outside the dead zone, it is proposed to use an elementary non-isotropic reflector in the form of a cube, the dimensions of which are in the resonant region. The paper determines the characteristics of scattered fields for such a reflector.
