Maximum Power Point Tracking of Photovoltaic Cells Based on Improved Incremental Conductance Method
Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is a prerequisite for photovoltaic cells when small disturbances usually occur at the change of the maximum power point. Due to the change of weather and temperature, the maximum power point fluctuates up and down. The transition from the initial equilibrium to the new equilibrium results in fluctuations due to variations in the peak power output of solar cells. From this, it can be seen that building a complete MPPT system is also an indispensable part of the analysis of small signal stability. A new improved MPPT algorithm is constructed in this paper, which is combined with the constant voltage method and the variable step incremental conductance method. Compared with the traditional incremental conductance method, the feasibility of the improved incremental conductance method is verified in the simulation, and its advantages are proved to improve the conversion efficiency.
