Research on Motion Target Control and Automatic Tracking System Based on OpenMV Vision Module

This paper investigates the design and implementation of a moving target control and automatic tracking system. A red laser pointer control system and a green laser pointer tracking system were built using a laser pointer. The light spot emitted by the red laser pointer is used to simulate a moving target, and the diameter of the light spot is not more than 1 cm, which can move arbitrarily on the white screen at a distance of 1 m. The light spot emitted by the green laser pointer automatically tracks the red light spot on the screen through the green light spot position control system, indicating the automatic tracking effect of the target. The 2D head of the red laser pointer control system is assembled by two 42 stepper motors and self-designed and 3D printed parts. After multi-program selection and comparative argumentation, STM32f401CCU6 is determined as the main control module of the system. In terms of vision, OpenMV is used to collect the white screen information and parse it by self-made differential complementary algorithm, and a semi-closed-loop control is realized by using a serial port to communicate with the main control. The test results show that the system has the research requirements, ensures the stability and performance of the system, and realizes the effective control of the red laser pointer and the automatic tracking of the green laser pointer.
