Research on Rapid Identification Technology for Asphalt Pavement Paving Thickness Based on GPR
This paper presents an in-depth analysis of the dielectric constant variation law of asphalt mixtures and introduces a high-precision non-destructive testing method for calculating the relative dielectric constant based on Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). The research aims to address the technical deficiencies in existing technologies by optimizing the test results of incident angles and test distances in real-time, thereby enhancing the accuracy of dielectric constant measurement. Additionally, the study investigates the stability and variability of the dielectric constant in different asphalt mixtures and validates the feasibility of continuous thickness measurement monitoring during paving operations. The radar prototype's performance is evaluated through data collection and comparison with manual measurement tools, demonstrating high precision and reliability in asphalt pavement paving thickness testing.
