Prediction of Stability of Real Time Network Control System for Pressure Process Station
As network technology has advanced, the research and application of Networked Control Systems (NCS) have garnered increased attention from researchers. While NCS facilitates the easy and convenient control of large systems, a significant challenge remains: the limited bandwidth available to the system and packet loss during the transmission of data. The proposed work is to control and monitor a pressure process under networked environment and control valve process system, specifically addressing delays from network connection and noise. A Smith predictor based Proportional Integral (PI) controller with Internal Model Controller (IMC) and Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) are utilized as control strategies. Proposed control was conducted using User Datagram Protocol (UDP) data transfer. Based on the results indicated that the FLC is effective in mitigating the difference of network induced delays with and without noisy environment. The stability of designed controllers are also analyzed under the networked environment.
