GNSS Interference Observations in Port of Koper
Unintended electromagnetic interference of GNSS signals was observed in the Port of Koper. Despite being relatively weak, it poses a threat to the uninterrupted operation of some modern devices that require precise positioning (like automatic cranes). A survey of spectrum around the GPS Ll frequency band has been made over a part of the port area that discovered few spots with substantial presence of interference that is constant in time, meaning it cannot be attributed to a moving source like a ship or a truck. The measurements were analyzed in order to help the port authorities to find their source.
