Technologies for Protection and Efficient Capacity Utilization of Emergency Power Supply Vehicles Based on Multi-Mode Negative Sequence Compensation Control

Currently, diesel generators are widely utilized in most emergency power supply vehicles due to their convenience and reliability. However, with the continuous development of people’s lives, the requirements for power quality of various loads have been increasing significantly, thus making power quality issues during emergency power supply particularly important. In response to the characteristic of diesel generators requiring a relatively longer start-up time, this paper proposes a multi-mode negative sequence compensation method applicable under different operating conditions of emergency power supply vehicles, along with a switching control method between these modes. This approach ensures that negative sequence compensation can be effectively carried out both when the diesel generator is not connected to the grid and when it is already connected. Moreover, during the transition between these two operating states of the diesel generator, this method enables smooth switching, thereby reducing the impact and oscillation caused by the generator’s connection to the system.
