Optical Polyspectral Imaging Systems. Classification
The fundamental principles for classification of systems aimed at recording spectral-spatial optical data are presented. They are based on the principal features and properties of such systems: spectral, spatial, temporal, constructional, exploitation, etc. The list of such classifying groups of properties appears to be complete. The resulting classifier provides accurate and complete identification of any device of the considered class or system, which are usually called just multispectral or hyperspectral without proper clarification. The presented classification allows the user and the manufacturer to determine unambiguously the properties and technical characteristics of such systems. Such features of the classifier as reliability, sufficiency and practical significance are marked.
