A High-Performance and Low-Cost Power Quality Flexible Control Device Topology and Its Modulation Strategy
In order to realize the comprehensive optimization of converter efficiency, cost and other indicators, this paper proposes an active neutral-point-clamped (ANPC) converter based on heterogeneous hybrid half-bridge shunt output, referred to as hybrid ANPC (HANPC) converter. HANPC consists of a low frequency module and a fundamental frequency module based on Si IGBT devices and a high frequency module based on SiC MOSFET devices. Furthermore, the shunt compensation principle of the high frequency module and the low frequency module is introduced. The low frequency of the Si device compensates the large current, while the high frequency of the SiC device compensates the small current and improves the waveform quality of the output total current. Secondly, aiming at the optimal device loss, the sharing ratio and switching frequency of the high frequency module and the low frequency module are optimized, and the modulation strategy of HANPC is given. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed topology and modulation strategy is verified by simulation.
