Voltage Sag Assessment Method Based on Dynamic Identification of Distribution Network Topology

In contexts where renewable energy significantly integrates into distribution networks, the network topology frequently changes, rendering traditional fixed-topology methods for voltage sag assessment inadequate. This paper introduces a novel method that leverages voltage monitoring data to identify tie switch statuses and dynamically updates the node admittance matrix for assessing voltage sags. The effectiveness and accuracy of this approach are validated through MATLAB simulations.

Abstract

In contexts where renewable energy significantly integrates into distribution networks, the network topology frequently changes, rendering traditional fixed-topology methods for voltage sag assessment inadequate. This paper introduces a novel method that leverages voltage monitoring data to identify tie switch statuses and dynamically updates the node admittance matrix for assessing voltage sags. The effectiveness and accuracy of this approach are validated through MATLAB simulations.
