Research on Non-Intrusive Identification of Operating Status of Power Quality Management Device
SGCC of China has developed a monitoring system for power quality and various types of evaluation indicator systems. In this study, a non-intrusive method for identifying the operating status of power quality management devices has been introduced. The method uses a probabilistic neural network to classify evaluation indices. By comparing evaluation indices before and after the operation, the method can determine whether the management device is performing as expected. Additionally, for the purpose of practical applications, this study provides power quality evaluation indices and data preprocessing methods for status identification. The accuracy of the method has been validated using MATLAB to analyze real measurements of a 35kV STATCOM installed at a substation.
