Influence of Superimposed Harmonic Current on Grounding Current in Metal Shielding Layer of 10kV Cables
As new power systems rapidly advance, the influence of harmonic currents of power cables is becoming increasingly evident. For 10kV medium voltage three-core cables, the magnitude of the total grounding current is related to the currents on the three-phase cores. When harmonic currents of different frequencies are superimposed with AC on the cable cores, the magnitude of the grounding current increases relative to AC alone. This article provides an analytical calculation method for the total grounding current of cable metal sheath under the condition of AC superimposed harmonics based on electromagnetic field theory.
