DNA Driven Mechanism for Genetic Ciphering to Protect IoT Images

To secure smart ecosystem devices, a groundbreaking and lightweight encryption technique has been created by this research, drawing inspiration from DNA principles. The use of secret codes, SHA-256 hashing, and the natural randomness of DNA sequences are integrated into the approach to produce robust keys that are impervious to attacks and difficult to decode. The avalanche effect, a vital component of cryptography, is addressed, ensuring that even minor alterations in plaintext result in markedly different ciphertext, thereby thwarting pattern detection by potential attackers. Exceptional performance has been exhibited by the algorithm through extensive evaluation across key metrics, such as key size, encryption speed, resistance to distortion, and efficacy of the avalanche effect, exceeding traditional encryption methods.
