Dichotomous-Sliding Window Fourier Algorithm Based Broadband Oscillation Detection Method

The rapid development of modern power electronics technology has been accompanied by an increase in the number of nonlinear loads in the power system, which has led to a huge challenge for the safe operation of the power system. Traditional oscillation detection methods have problems such as large computation volume and poor real-time performance, which cannot meet the demand for oscillation detection and analysis in modern power systems. To this end, this paper proposes a dichotomous-sliding discrete Fourier transform (DSDFT) oscillation detection method, which can quickly and accurately detect the information of oscillation signals generated in power electronic systems. Firstly, the principle of the proposed oscillation detection method is introduced in this paper; then, the specific parameter design process of the detection method is analyzed and the signals of different oscillation forms are analyzed; finally, the simulation verification is carried out under the environment of MATLAB/SIMULINK, and the results show that the proposed oscillation detection method of this paper has small computation and short response time, and it can satisfy the demand of fast oscillation detection.
